Deadline for applications is 21 May 2024

The course is designed to be an introduction to the field of neutron scattering and covers diverse neutron scattering techniques. The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) is one of the world-leading institutes in neutron instrumentation and neutron science across a breadth of scientific disciplines spanning soft matter, energy and quantum materials, while concurrently developing instruments for MLZ, ESS, ILL and formerly SNS, as well as future high brilliance compact accelerator neutron sources.

The lectures are given by the directors and professors of the JCNS institutes, all of whom are established scientists and group leaders, and experts in their fields.

Exercise classes will be given in the afternoons to deepen students' understanding and these classes are supervised by staff with exceptional knowledge and expertise in the field.
