EU-Flagship Project ASTERIQS

The ASTERIQS project (Advancing Science and Technology thRough dIamond Quantum Sensing) focuses on the research in quantum sensing technologies. Our role is to further develop and extend the optimization algorithms used in the RedCRAB suite and integrate the tool in existing experimental control programs.

EU-Flagship Project PASQuanS

The project PASQuanS (Programmable Atomic Large-Scale Quantum Simulation) studies the control and quantum simulation of large many-body systems with regard to fundamental science and real-world problems.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No. 817482 (PASQuANS).

GiRyd program

Rydberg atoms and ultra-cold atoms are combined in the GiRyd program (Giant interactions in Rydberg Systems) to do research in areas such as many-body physics, quantum information processing and quantum simulation. It was established by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

QuSco program

One of our PhD students is part of the QuSCo program. QuSCo is a network of PhD students and PIs from the EU. The purpose of the program is to demonstrate the enabling capability of quantum control for quantum sensing and quantum measurement, advancing this field by systematic use of quantum control methods. It provides a frame for its members to train by connecting the PhD students through frequent interaction in collaborations, schools and conferences. Their training is aimed to provide a rigorous scientific basis through the excellent consortium. At the same time, QuSCo offers complementary training in communication and commercialization.
